Bryant Murphy, MD, MBA, FASA, ACC is a Professor of Anesthesiology and the Associate Dean for Leadership Development in the UNC School of Medicine’s Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development. In this role he leads efforts to ensure comprehensive and coordinated leadership development and well-being opportunities for faculty, staff, and learners across the UNC School of Medicine.
Bryant obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Neuroscience Concentration from Duke University. He completed Medical School, Anesthesiology Residency, and Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at Wake Forest University. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree from George Washington University in 2012
Prior to returning to academic practice at UNC, he was a partner in a private practice Anesthesiology Group in Fayetteville, NC, and served on the Board of Trustees for the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Bryant has served in various state and national leadership and advocacy roles including the President of the North Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists and the North Carolina Medical Board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Medical Society.

Crystal Slusser, BBA, MSHRM, PCC

Crystal Slusser is a Leadership Consultant and Coach for a large Level One Trauma organization located in Southwestern Virginia. She attended Strayer University where she graduated as an Honors Scholar and Suma Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management with a concentration in Organization and Human Resource Development. Crystal also holds a PCC Coaching Certification from the International Coaching Federation.

Crystal has a combined 12 years of experience working in the healthcare industry that has helped her gain knowledge and expertise in the fields of General Surgery & Trauma, Education & Organizational Development, Human Resources, and in Leadership Effectiveness & Development.

With a passion for supporting healthcare leaders and teams of all levels, she has a true desire for helping leaders grow and develop themselves to unimaginable heights no matter the work that they do.
